I am personally responsible for protecting the personal information you entrust to me.
Only to:
I never sell, rent or trade your information. I do not use it for advertising.
On your request, I can send the translation directly to an organization (IRCC, a university…): I only do so on your instruction.
No information that identifies you is ever sent to an artificial intelligence tool. See my AI Use Policy.
I keep your documents and translations for 5 years after the assignment ends, in accordance with my record-keeping obligations as an OTTIAQ member. They are then securely destroyed. Quote requests that do not proceed are deleted after 12 months.
Your files are stored on password-protected devices and accounts. The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). No system is foolproof, but I take reasonable measures, suited to the sensitivity of the documents, to prevent loss, unauthorized access or disclosure.
If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious harm, I will notify you and the competent authorities, as required by law.
At any time, you may:
Write to me at contact@ebtapon.com. I reply within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with my answer, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, if you live in Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
I may update this policy. The date of the latest update appears at the top of this page.
